This watch was developed in co-operation with Thomson-C.S.F. of Paris France, Motorola USA and Jaeger-LeCoultre, Switzerland. |
| 1972 | Girard-Perregaux shows for the first time, again at the Basle Fair, its commercial quartz watch caliber GP 350 with one battery and a packed crystal, an IC of SC and a stepping motor of Socrem. The Elcron wins the accuracy competition at the 'Observatoire de Neuchâtel'. Total production consisted of approximately 50,000 pieces, including the calibers that were derived from it. Derived calibers: 351, 352, 353 and 354. Jaeger-LeCoultre sold this watch under the name 'Master-Quartz' and Favre Leuba under the name 'Quartz Raider'. |
